The education marketing agency you’ve been looking for
At Fruitful Studio, with over a decade of experience in working with primary and secondary schools, we really understand the demands on the education sector.
A prime example of integrated education marketing is our work with St Anne’s Catholic School & Sixth Form College, Southampton - a highly successful girls secondary school and mixed sixth form rated outstanding by Ofsted.
School website design
We completely redesigned and rebuilt both the secondary school website and the sixth form college website.
Good communication from the very first briefings to going live was vital. School staff are super busy and we were trusted to drive the projects forward. We ask the important questions, take responsibility and make educated decisions where necessary so you can get on with teaching.
Bespoke Content Management Systems
We build easy-to-use Content Management Systems (CMS) tailored to your needs.
Ofsted compliance
We understand Ofsted compliance and how that translates into good design.
The importance of accessibility
Our websites are Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 compliant.
Populating website pages
We’ll audit and manage existing website content to minimise work for you.
An effortless user experience
Your website has to work hard for two primary audiences: potential students / parents and existing students / parents. St Anne’s needed to show prospective families that the school is long-established, high achieving and has a real family feel. Students are proud of their school and its diversity and inclusivity. In amongst that we needed to communicate key information quickly and efficiently to existing (busy) parents. An effortless user experience is vital for everyone, - whatever their screen size.
Efficient use of time and budget
Schools need to be able to quickly and easily update the majority of the website’s content and our Content Management System is tailored and easy to use. We made this available to St Anne’s to use while the website was being built, allowing staff to add content alongside our work, thus ensuring the launch was as prompt as possible.
Peace of mind
School budgets are always a consideration so we future-proof the website’s possible growth with a flexible design as much as possible. We know the information a school needs to include on its website can be an ever changing entity!
Our aim is a solid ongoing relationship with clear communication and mutual trust and we’re always on hand to help if needed.
And if you need hosting, our own dedicated Rackspace servers in the UK and Cloud CDN (Content Delivery Network) are backed up on a daily basis and offer comprehensive 24/7 support.
“The team have made the process easy at each stage and helped us to form and then realise a vision for our website and prospectus marketing that represents our school authentically.”
School photography and video
Authentic photography and video is vital to convey daily school life - dynamic shots of Catholic celebrations, school productions, engaging lessons and varied sporting activities. The right photographer makes students feel at ease in front of the camera as well as making the photo shoot as efficient and smooth-running as possible for the busy staff who accommodate them as they teach.
Prospectus design and print
We completely redesigned both the school and sixth form prospectuses. In particular the sixth form prospectus needed a complete rethink as it listed every subject offered and therefore had a shelf life as well as a hefty print cost.
We digitised all the fast changing information – moving it online where it could be easily - and instantly - updated in the website Content Management System. QR codes were used to direct readers to the most up to date details.
“The benefits of working with Jess, Beki and the team, go beyond technical and creative skills, extending to knowledge of the local area and therefore context/audience for our marketing. The communication and keeping to deadlines was also excellent. We look forward to continuing working with Fruitful in the future.”
