The project…

BEATdiabetes® is a weight management and personalised lifestyle coaching app designed to help prevent or even reverse the affects of type 2 diabetes.

The app works in conjunction with sugarBEAT®, the world’s first non-invasive real time continuous glucose monitoring patch. A small sensor and transmitter which is positioned on the users arm and tracks their glucose levels in real time, without scanning or the need for uncomfortable blood glucose tests.

Fruitful’s design team worked with Nemaura Medical to create a brand identity, packaging solution and launch campaign collateral for this life-changing program.

Three smartphone screens displaying the SugarBEAT glucose monitoring app interface, showing glucose levels at different times. The screens feature readings in mmol/L, graphs, and options like 'Send My Data.'

With the continuous data provided by the system, users can review the impact of their lifestyle choices, allowing them to make adjustments to diet and activity in real time. This change in behaviour has the potential to reverse type 2 diabetes.

This provided the key message for the #yesyoucan launch campaign, which takes inspiration from A Tribe Called Quest’s hip hop classic ‘Can I Kick It?’

As part of the launch campaign deliverables we produced a video commercial as well as motion graphics for social media marketing. This included working with Sony Music Publishing who were able to grant us usage rights to the Can I Kick It? master audio track.

Did you know…

Type 2 diabetes affects an estimated 462 million people globally and although most commonly begins in middle age or later – it can occur at any age. Further more around 10% of people with type 2 diabetes are at a healthy weight.

This made it imperative that our campaign collateral featured a broad demographic of individuals across all media platforms, including press and urban advertising.
